Electrolux Cleaner

The Electrolux cleaner brand was formed in 1919, when Elektromekaniska and Lux joined together. Elektromekaniska made vacuum cleaner motors, and Lux made kerosene lamps. By 1919, Lux was finding business slow as there was much less demand for kerosene lamps as people had indoor electric lighting.

Before 1919, Swede Axel Wenner-Gren who was instrumental in forming the Electrolux cleaner brand, bought some shares in the Germany Santo Staubsauger vacuum cleaner brand, and was selling them in Germany. These vacuum cleaners were heavy and cumbersome, and so Wenner-Gren soon decided to try and make a lighter more useable vacuum cleaner, and formed Electrolux cleaners with two other entrepreneurs.

The Electrolux cleaner Lux V was launched two years after Electrolux cleaners was formed, and was a serious rival to the market leading Hoover upright vacuum cleaners of the time.

The company used highly innovative and unique advertising campaigns and home demonstrations, as well as instalment payment plans in order to sell Electrolux cleaners, and they were very successful.

Nowadays, Electrolux cleaners are still a dominant force in the vacuum cleaner market, and offer a great range of vacuum cleaners to satisfy customer demand.

As the role of the vacuum cleaner has changed over the years, Electrolux cleaners have moved with the times, and now the brand offers many types of vacuum cleaner in order to meet the needs of the modern household.

Many of the Electrolux cleaners are cylinder vacuum cleaner models, which means that they are easy to manoeuvre and take up less storage space. This makes them ideal for the smaller home, or for storing upstairs, so that a larger upright cleaner can be used downstairs without having to haul it upstairs.

Perhaps known now for their colourful models as much as their cleaning power, Electrolux cleaners give the vacuum cleaner some much needed colours and personality, and so are much more appealing than vacuum cleaners used to be. Using similar bagless technology to other brands, Electrolux cleaners are proving to be very popular and for those that don't have a big house, or can't justify the expense of a large bagless upright cleaner.

The Electrolux cleaner range is going from strength to strength, and with a wide range of spares, parts and accessories to keep the in fully working condition, and to help make them even more versatile and useful, you can be guaranteed that you'll be happy with your Electrolux cleaner, no matter what model you choose.
