Replacing the Washable Pre Motor Filter

PLEASE NOTE: Always disconnect the Dyson from the mains before commencing work.

1. Depress the catch at the top of the cyclone top assembly handle and remove it from the Dyson.

2. Carefully pull up the catch located at the bottom of the cyclone's top handle and then rotate the lid backwards.

3. Remove the pre motor filter from it's housing.

4. Separate the blue sponge section from the outer yellow plastic carrier. Rinse both parts in warm soapy water and only refit to the Dyson when they have been dried thoroughly.

Reassembly is a simple matter of reversing the steps listed above.
