Changing the Pre Motor Filter

PLEASE NOTE: Always disconnect the Dyson from the mains before commencing work.

1. Start by detaching the Dyson's cyclone top assembly.

 

2. Allow the Cyclone top assembly to rest on the floor then remove the blue & yellow pre motor filter from it's housing.

 

3. Remove the pre motor filter from it's housing and then seperate the blue sponge section from the outer yellow plastic carrier. Rinse both parts in warm soapy water and only refit to the Dyson when they have been dried thoroughly.

Reassembly is a simple matter of reversing the steps listed above.
