Changing the Post Motor Filter
PLEASE NOTE: Always disconnect the Dyson from the mains before commencing work.
1. Start by detaching the Dyson's cyclone top assembly.
2. Remove the cyclone/bin assembly.
3. Underneath the cyclone/bin assembly you will find the post motor filter lid. The lid is removed by pulling back the two locating tabs (arrowed).
4. Remove the post motor filter from it's housing. (The filter pictured is a H level filter)
5. Beneath the lid you will find, depending on the model, one of the following filters.

Regardless of which filter you have, when the bottom of the filter reaches the condition of the one in the illustration below it must be changed. Please note: They must not be washed.

Reassembly is a simple matter of reversing the steps listed above.
