Replacing the Switch
PLEASE NOTE: If your are in anyway unsure of any of the steps listed below. Please consult a qualified electrician and always remove the plug from the socket before commencing work.
1. Remove the cyclone and bin assembly by grasping the bottom of the bin and rotating the cyclone assembly upwards. The cyclone will become unattached from the cleaner's main body.

2. Using a Torx T15 screwdriver, remove the screw holding the switch cover plate.

3. Then remove the switch cover.

4. Gently prise the switch from it's holder. (The picture shows the two blue (neutral) wires disconnected although this is not necessary if only the switch is to be changed.)

5. Remove the brown (live) wires from the switch and then replace the old switch with a new one.

Reassembly is a simple matter of reversing the steps listed above.
