Not Picking Up Through The Hose

PLEASE NOTE: If your are in anyway unsure of any of the steps listed below. Please consult a qualified electrician and always remove the plug from the socket before commencing work.


1. Firstly remove the power cable from the rear of your DC14 and then release the wand handle from the main body.

2. Then, at the rear of the Dyson, locate the large tab at the base of the hose. Pull the tab toward the hose to release it.

3. The hose is then pulled upwards to remove the hose from the main body.

4. To release the top of the hose from the wand handle, depress the two brightly coloured buttons located on either side of the wand handle. Examine the full length of the hose and wand assembly for blockages and clear as necessary.

5. Finally remove the U-bend and check for blockages.
